THE PROBLEM
Understanding the Building Safety Act 2022 is about more than knowing the legislation. People working across construction need to understand how their role fits into the wider picture, what their responsibilities are and how decisions made on site can affect compliance, accountability and building safety.
Traditional compliance training can make complex legislation feel even more difficult, particularly when it relies heavily on slides, documents and information learners are expected to remember without applying it.
We wanted to create something that made the Building Safety Act easier to understand and, importantly, helped learners consider what it means in practice.
OUR SOLUTION
We developed an interactive, scenario-based Building Safety Act CPD course built around a realistic construction project.
Rather than simply presenting legislation, learners progress through the project and make decisions based on situations they could encounter in the real world. Interactive activities, knowledge checks and assessments are used throughout to check understanding and reinforce key responsibilities.
The course is CPD accredited and designed to work as a standalone digital learning experience.
It can also be customised for individual organisations. The fictional company, branding, scenarios and context can be adapted to reflect a client's business and the duty holder roles most relevant to their workforce.
This means organisations can start with an existing, professionally designed course rather than funding a completely bespoke build, while still giving learners training that feels relevant to where they actually work.
