THE PROBLEM
Food Friends relies on an incredible team of volunteers delivering weekly homemade meals across Kent. We approached the charity to explore how digital learning could help save time, improve accessibility and better support volunteers with clear, engaging guidance they could revisit whenever needed.
OUR SOLUTION
We were incredibly proud to support Food Friends in developing a fully branded, interactive volunteer learning guide designed as a practical, reusable digital resource rather than a one-off traditional course.
The guide includes interactive flowcharts, scenarios and flashcards to make key information easier to understand and apply in practice. Shared via a simple app-based link, volunteers can access the resource anytime on mobile devices, while ongoing updates and improvements can be made quickly as processes evolve.

Outcomes & Impact
The final resource provided Food Friends with a modern, accessible way to support volunteers while reducing reliance on lengthy written guidance and static documents. By creating a reusable digital resource that can be updated over time, the charity now has a more scalable and consistent way to share important information with both existing and new volunteers.
For volunteers, the mobile-friendly design, interactive activities and real-world scenarios helped make guidance easier to access, understand and apply in practice, supporting confidence, consistency and a stronger onboarding experience from day one.
